Storm Sewer Connections

Many municipalities we service allow connections to their storm sewer systems. We try and utilize a community’s existing infrastructure to your advantage by making these connections whenever possible. It is typically the most cost-effective way to get stormwater permanently off your property. We can directionally bore across streets, excavate storm sewers in excess of 15’ deep, and pipe stormwater into ravines or Lake Michigan.

By diverting your yard or foundation drainage to these systems you remove the water entirely from the property. Many contractors do not have the proper licensing, bonds, or insurance to make these connections and will offer other solutions to retain the water on the property through “dry wells” or “French drains”. Although these options can contain some amount of water and allow the flooding to recede faster, they do not offer a permanent solution to your stormwater problems.

Sewer Repairs

Boring is used for many types of repairs and installations in underground utility systems. While all homes need boring-related repairs at some time, older homes are often the most in need. • Electrical Conduit. Boring is used to install electrical conduits for power transmission and distribution, reducing the need for disruptive trenching.
• Utility Pipe Repairs. Boring can repair or replace sections of utility pipes that have leaks, cracks, or other issues, all without extensive excavation.
• Drainage Systems. Boring can be used to install drainage pipes to manage stormwater runoff, preventing flooding and erosion on residential properties.
